YOUR CAKES LOOK GOOD, BUT DO THEY TASTE GOOD TOO?
So glad you asked! YES! Our cakes are made using only high quality ingredients including real butter, milk, flour, sugar, eggs and fresh fruit. We also outsource and use organic and locally grown ingredients when available. So, YES! They do taste as good as they look! Take a look at some of our cake flavors and delicious fillings here.
HOW MUCH DO YOUR CAKES COST?
Prices vary depending on size, detail, intricacy & complexity of your design. For custom cakes, we have a $120 minimum, which generally serves about 20-24 people. You can check out our other cake pricing here.
HOW MUCH TIME IS NEEDED TO BOOK A WEDDING CAKE?
It is best to schedule a Wedding Cake as far in advance as possible. For Wedding Cakes, three months at the very least is preferred. Quality wedding cakes take much planning and coordination, we promise to always do our best!
HOW MUCH TIME IS NEEDED FOR A SPECIAL EVENT CAKE?
A cake order should be placed as soon as you have finalized all the details of your event (colors, theme, design, amount of servings, etc.). Since we are usually booked a few weeks (or sometimes months) in advance, we do encourage early ordering. (4-6 weeks advance notice is recommended, but we’d be happy to fit you in whenever our schedule permits.) The more time we have, the better we can plan, customize and create!
HOW MUCH ARE CAKE TASTINGS, AND WHAT DO THEY ENTAIL?
We conduct cake tastings on a designated Sunday each month. We charge $50 per couple for wedding cake tastings, but when you book your order with us, the $50 gets applied towards your order. We recommend that you bring in any pictures, invitations, etc., that may help us come up with something perfect for your Wedding. You can choose 3-4 flavors for your tasting. *Tastings are by appointment only, so give us a call to chat about your event and check availability today!
HOW CAN I ORDER A CAKE, CUPCAKES OR COOKIES?
There are 3 ways to order!
You can call us, email us at christina@couturecakesbychristina.com or CONTACT US HERE! Either way, we'll need ALL the details regarding your event in order to provide you with a quote. (Date, time, theme, colors, flavors, amount of servings needed, and any ideas or pictures you have for reference.) After we discuss the details of your event and decide on a cake that you like, if you are interested in booking and would like to proceed, we would require a non-refundable 50% retainer to secure your date. The remaining balance must be paid in full one week prior to your event. The balance and deposit are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE, meaning you can NOT cancel and receive funds back.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR YOU TO GET BACK TO ME?
We will review your submission and get back to you within 48 business hours. For faster service, you can give us a call or text us Monday-Saturday from 10:00AM - 6:00PM at
407-476-9616. Remember, we are closed on Sundays.
IS A RETAINER OR DEPOSIT REQUIRED TO PLACE AN ORDER?
Yes. We require a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE retainer to book your order and reserve your date. If your balance is not paid IN FULL one week prior to your event or one month prior to your wedding, you forfeit your deposit, and risk not being accommodated. This means you run the risk or your order being cancelled.
WHY IS IT NON-REFUNDABLE?
Because remember when we told you we BOOK UP often?.. Well there would be NO WAY for us to go back and get all of the customers we said NO to, to back to fill YOUR SPOT if you decide to cancel your order. Your retainer ensures availability FOR YOU and we manage our entire team and production schedule based on YOUR ORDER once you book it.
HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY ORDER?
All major credit cards, cash, Cash App, Zelle, Veno or Apple Pay payments are accepted. Unfortunately we are not accepting PayPal payments at this time.
HOW DO I GET MY CAKE ONCE IT'S PREPARED?
All weddings cakes MUST be delivered, all other cakes can be picked up in Poinciana, FL. On some appointed Saturdays, delivery can be arranged for special event cakes or we can meet up at a centralized location. Please inquire at the time of booking on delivery availability.
DO YOU SHIP YOUR CAKES?
Unfortunately, we do NOT ship cakes. We DO, however ship our CAKE IN A JAR and other treats! And they make GREAT gifts! Check them out here.
DO YOU HAVE A RETAIL STORE WHERE I CAN WALK IN AND PURCHASE CUPCAKES OR VIEW YOUR WORK?
At this time we are a residential site bakery. There are plans in the near future to open a retail location in the Central Florida area. Stay connected via social media via Instagram and Facebook to remain informed.
DO YOU SELL SHEET CAKES, READY-MADE CAKES OR “BASIC”/SIMPLE CAKES?
Sheet cakes are ONLY offered with a custom cake order. WHY? Well, we pride ourselves on creating one-of-a-kind works of art, so NO, we do not offer “basic” cakes because that's just not our style.We work closely with you to make sure each “show stopping” cake is unique and reflects the recipient’s personality and sense of style. We create custom “centerpiece” cakes. Not basic cakes.
Since we are a CUSTOM CAKE BAKERY, it is VERY RARE that we have grab-and-go cakes available. If we do, it will be holiday promotion that is advertised on our Instagram / Facebook pages!
DO YOU MAKE GLUTEN-FREE, VEGAN OR DIETARY CAKES?
Yes, we offer a Gluten-Free Fudge, and we are working on creating additional gluten-free flavors. We also offer a Vanilla and Chocolate variety Vegan cakes. Unfortunately, at this time we do not offer sugar free desserts simply because we have not found recipes that we think are as amazing as our regular cakes. Sorry, but maybe some time in the future.
IN THE EVENT OF CANCELLATION:
1. All requests for cancellation must be made in writing.
2. If a cancellation is received, your retainer will not be refundable.
3. If a cancellation is received less than one week prior to the promised delivery/pickup date, the full balance is still the client’s responsibility.
